Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our Belarus eSIM
What is an eSIM and how does it work?
An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM card built into your device. Instead of inserting a physical SIM card, you install the eSIM profile in one tap from the app or via a QR code. It works exactly like a traditional SIM card for calls, texts, and data, but it's completely digital. With a Belarus eSIM, you'll be connected the moment you land.
When should I install my Belarus eSIM?
We recommend installing your Belarus eSIM within 24 hours before you travel, while you still have internet access. After you arrive in Belarus, turn on data roaming. This way, you'll be connected the moment you land. For most plans, the validity period starts only when you arrive and connect to a local network. Please check your plan details.
Can I use an eSIM on a locked phone?
No, your device must be carrier-unlocked to use an eSIM from another provider. Contact your current carrier to unlock your device before traveling. Most phones purchased directly from manufacturers (not carriers) are already unlocked.
How do I activate my Belarus eSIM?
After purchase, tap Install in the eSIMX app, or use the quick-install link, QR code, or manual details from your email or order page. When you arrive in Belarus, turn on data roaming and your Belarus eSIM will connect. For most plans, the validity period starts at that point. Please check your plan details.
Is my device compatible with Belarus eSIM?
Most iPhones from iPhone XS onwards and recent Android flagships support eSIM. Check our compatibility list above or go to your phone Settings and look for "Add eSIM" or "Add Cellular Plan" option. If you see this option, your device is compatible with a eSIM.
Can I share hotspot with Belarus eSIM?
Yes! Most of our eSIM plans support personal hotspot/tethering, allowing you to share your connection with laptops, tablets, or other devices. Check the specific plan details as some unlimited plans may have hotspot data limits (typically 1-5GB per day).
Can I top up my eSIM data plan?
Add-on data packs aren't supported at the moment. When your data runs out, please buy a new eSIM.
Can I check my eSIM data usage?
Yes. Once your Belarus eSIM is issued, you can view its data usage anytime on our website or in the eSIMX app — open My eSIMs and select your eSIM to see how much data you've used and how much remains. Real-time usage tracking is supported on most plans.
What is your refund policy?
If your eSIM hasn't been installed yet, you can get a full refund within 14 days of purchase. Once it's installed, it can only be refunded if it doesn't work because of a problem on our side or with the network that our support team can't fix. See our Refund Policy for details.
How do I contact customer support?
Our support team is available 24/7 and usually replies within 2 hours. You can reach us by email at [email protected] or through the message form on our website.
Why do most Unlimited Data plans have a daily 2GB high-speed limit?
Our team tested this across multiple real trips and found that 2GB of daily high-speed data covers everything most travelers need — scrolling TikTok, watching a YouTube video or two, and staying connected with family and friends. Once the daily 2GB high-speed allowance is used, you still have unlimited data at a reduced speed (minimum 128 kbps), which is perfectly fine for WhatsApp, Telegram, text messages, and casual social media. No more anxiously watching your data balance — just enjoy your trip.
Can I purchase multiple eSIMs in one order?
Yes! You can add up to 5 eSIMs in a single order — ideal for family vacations or group trips. Everyone gets their own plan in one checkout.
Can I use AI services like Claude, ChatGPT (OpenAI), or Gemini with this eSIM?
In most cases, yes. If your eSIM connects through a Hong Kong IP address, you can use most major AI services, such as OpenAI (ChatGPT) and Gemini; however, Claude is currently not available in Hong Kong. If your eSIM uses an IP address outside Hong Kong, you can generally use all major AI services, including Claude, OpenAI, and Gemini. Please note that AI providers restrict access from certain regulated regions, so these services will not work in areas where the provider does not offer them.
I have no signal, or I have signal but can't access the internet. What should I do?
We recommend manually switching to a different network carrier. Different carriers have varying coverage in each area. Most of our plans support multiple carriers — try manually selecting a different carrier in your phone's network settings to resolve the issue.
